Steel. Cement. Glass. Steel for support. Cement to contein. Glass to watch and see. Sheet to cover. The Sports Center as a green ribbon container movement aims to redevelop and enhance the public portion of the area, currently in disuse, giving benefit to the entire city of Ladispoli with minimal environmental impact. The project is very clear: through a unified design, made of regular geometries decided and, unable to talk and tell about the spaces and functions contained on the outside. Openings, seemingly random, are due in fact to communicate with the environment and to allow, at the same time a total view of the landscape from every room.
The shape of the building is based on a system of distribution of space capable of responding to organizational needs, security and comfort and maximum flexibility to adapt to the changing needs within the sport of artistic gymnastics. The structure, partially prefabricated concrete and partly in steel pillars and trusses (gym area), covered with corrugated steel insulated green for dialogue with the adjacent park is one floor above ground. Particular attention is paid to the use of renewable energy sources, providing, on the cover of a fitness surface area of 720 square meters occupied by photovoltaic panels, thus making the structure self-sustaining.
